Neil Dodgson is Reader in Graphics & Imaging in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, where he is a co-leader of the Graphics & Interaction Research Group (Rainbow). Dr Dodgson is also a Fellow of Emmanuel College, where he is Director of Studies in Computer Science and Assistant Bursar. Dr Dodgson's research interests are in computer graphics, 3D display technology, human-figure animation and image processing. His recent focus has been on the theory of subdivision surfaces. He teaches the graphics courses in the Cambridge Computer Science Tripos and Diploma in Computer Science. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
