Sophie Dale is the University of Nottingham's Interdisciplinary Bridging Officer, based in the School of Computer Science. She is responsible for the management of the EPSRC-funded Bridging the Gaps and UbiComp Grand Challenge projects at Nottingham. Bridging the Gaps develops interdisciplinary collaborations between mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers. Recent internal funding will give an expansion of the themes and disciplines covered by Bridging the Gaps in 2008-2009 to reflect Nottingham's interest and potential in the funding remits of the Digital Economy and Lifelong Health and Wellbeing.
