Alan works in the Mixed Reality Lab in the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham .

His research interests are Management, Mobile/Wearable Human Computer Interaction, Pervasive Computing, Accessible Design, Art and User Evaluation, Critical interpretations of new technologies and new HCI-based frameworks
