Thierry Barbier graduated from the "Ecole Polytechnique" (Paris) and the "Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications" (Paris). Initially with Theatre he moved over to cinema where he became a production manager. 1986: Production manager of Sogitec, pioneer in France in the computer generated images field (the production of many advertising films and corporate films). 1989: Founder member of Ex Machina; manages the production of many advertising films, many films produced for International Exhibitions, and Large Format films (3D films, IMAX® films, ride films) for theme parks. 2000: Associate and cofounder of AmaK. Thierry Barbier and the artists José Xavier and Marie-Anne Bonneterre worked for the CNBDI (National Center for Comic Strip and Image, Angoulême) in the EU IST R&D project CUSTODIEV. Fellow Creator members Dr John Patterson and Prof dr Frank Van Reeth were partners of this project. Thierry Barbier, José Xavier and Marie-Anne Bonneterre are now in AmaK and still working with Dr John Patterson and Prof dr Frank Van Reeth. Thierry Barbier is now producer, specializing in large format films, 3D stereoscopic films, computer generated images, composite images and virtual reality.
