Dr Caroline Windrum is Director of Development at the Learning Sciences Research Institute, which conducts research into the cognitive, social and cultural aspects of learning, with the purpose of enhancing the design of innovative technologies and environments for learners and education. In this role, she is actively engaged in developing collaborations with the commercial and creative sectors from large corporate organisations to SMEs. As a member of JISC's Intellectual Property Advisory Group, she has an interest the issue of 'rights' in education, and she is also a member of the JISC Working Group for Business-Community Engagement and the Association for University Research Industry Links (AURIL).
